The Migrant Caravan documents one of the largest caravans of migrants in recent history. The caravan, gathered through a social media campaign, left San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on October 12, 2018, and as it spread, attracted people from Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala, heading towards the United States.

Pieter Ten Hoopen was awarded first price in the World Press Photo Story of the Year in 2019 for the series.
